FAQ

What is a business credit card?

A business or commercial credit card is a card taken out in your business's name. It lets you keep your business and personal expenses separate. These cards have different perks designed for different business needs.

Can anyone get a business credit card?

No. To apply for a business credit card, you must either be self-employed (run a sole proprietorship) or run another type of business (a partnership or corporation). Your application is then reviewed and subject to credit approval by the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec.

How do I choose a business credit card?

Depending on the size of your business and how much you spend each year, certain cards will be better suited to your needs. You can also choose a card based on certain benefits, such as cash back or insurance.

Can I get a business credit card for personal use?

To apply for a business credit card, you need to provide proof that you run a business. This means you can't get a business credit card solely for personal use. We recommend keeping your personal and professional accounts separate to simplify your accounting.
