Alain holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Université de Sherbrooke. He has also completed coursework through the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) in securities, financial planning, derivatives fundamentals, and conduct and practices.

He has experience as an investment advisor with Groupe Option Retraite (2000–2005) and has worked at Desjardins Securities since 2006.

Julien holds a bachelor of business administration with a concentration in finance from Université de Sherbrooke. He’s also a Financial Planner (F.Pl.), a designation granted by the Institute of Financial Planning. Julien brings the insight and expertise needed to navigate the more complex and rewarding aspects of his clients’ financial lives. He builds personalized action plans tailored to each client’s goals and, when appropriate, collaborates with specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach.

He has also completed two graduate diploma programs in transformation management from Université Laval. The programs are focused on leadership, strategy, and communication.

Career 

Julien brings 14 years of experience in finance and investment to his role as an investment advisor with the Joseph/Nadeau Team.

Prior to joining Desjardins Securities, he spent six years as a business development manager in the Desjardins caisse network and six years as a financial planner and speaker.

Julien handles client needs with a comprehensive, straightforward and personal approach. His goal is to build solid and trusting relationships with his clients so he is the first person they turn to for financial advice.
