How to pay in installments
To use this payment option, you need to:
- Have a Desjardins Visa credit card
- Have an Accord D credit limit with enough funds available
- Pay for a purchase of $200 or more with your Desjardins Visa credit card
- Choose an installment plan from the available options at checkout
- Read and agree to the terms and conditions
How installment plans work
Let's say you make a purchase of $900.
- If you choose a 3-month interest-free
1 installment plan, you'll pay $300 per month for the next 3 months. - If you choose a 6-month installment plan with an 8.9% interest rate, you'll pay $153.92 per month for the next 6 months.
If you don't want to pay in installments, you can pay for the purchase in full as usual.

Removing the option
You can remove the option to pay in installments from your card without penalty by calling the number on the back of your Desjardins Visa credit card.

You can't use BONUSDOLLARS to pay your installments.
Before you can pay in installments
You must have a sufficient Accord D credit limit on your Desjardins Visa credit card
Check your Accord D limit
If you have enough left on your Accord D limit to cover the cost of your purchases, you can pay in installments now. You can find your limit under Authorized Accord D financing credit limit on your credit card statement or on AccèsD.
- Log in to AccèsD.
- Select your credit card.
- Select Information.
- You'll find your limit under Accord D financing credit limit.
Get an Accord D credit limit or limit increase
If you don't have an Accord D credit limit or if your limit isn't high enough, you can apply for one or for a limit increase online or by phone.
- Log in to AccèsD.
- Select Cards, loans and credit.
- Select your credit card.
- Select Manage card.
- Select Manage account.
- Under Accord D financing, select either Apply for financing or Increase Accord D credit limit.
- Follow the steps to submit your application for an Accord D credit limit or a limit increase.
Manage your installment plans wisely
Select a payment plan based on your ability to pay the installments.
Pay your monthly installments by the due date indicated on your statement to avoid paying interest.
Make the minimum payment on your credit card balance each month.

No. Paying in installments is a new option offered on your Desjardins Visa credit card. Accord D financing remains unchanged and paying in installments doesn’t affect your Accord D financing.
Merchants choose which installment plans to offer (3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 36 or 48 months) based on the purchase amount. You can select the plan you want from the options available. If you don't want to pay in installments, you can pay for your purchase in full as usual.
Yes. If you have Credit Balance Insurance, your installment plans are subject to the same coverage and conditions as Accord D financing. All the details can be found in your insurance documents on AccèsD.
Yes. You can pay off your balance at any time without penalty.
Yes. You can have the option to pay in installments removed from your card without any penalty by calling the number on the back of your Desjardins Visa credit card. If you have an outstanding balance on an installment plan, you must pay the monthly installments according to the terms and conditions of your plan or pay off the balance.
Paying in installments can affect your credit score. For example, if you pay for a purchase in installments, it will be reported to the credit bureaus.
If your credit report is monitored by Equifax or TransUnionTM, you'll receive a new account alert any time you pay for a purchase in installments and also when you've paid off an installment plan.
