Lyne Roy Payette, BBA

Vice-President

Lyne Roy Payette oversees three teams of commercial real estate financing experts across Canada. Before joining Desjardins Global Asset Management in 2013, she was an executive manager and team leader at CIBC. In 1980, she began at the Royal Bank of Canada, where she held several positions in real estate and commercial financing.

Ms. Roy Payette has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Université de Sherbrooke.

Andrew Maravita, LLB, DDN, MBA

Vice-President, Eastern Canada

Andrew Maravita manages a commercial real estate financing team in Eastern Canada. Prior to joining Desjardins in 2021, he held several leadership positions running regional and national platforms at major finance, investment and service companies, including Colliers International, GE Capital and TD. With more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, he's recognized as an industry expert. He has served as a guest speaker at numerous conferences and is often quoted in national media, trade journals and publications.

Andrew Maravita has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), a Diploma of Notarial Law (DDN) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Université de Sherbrooke.

Benjamin Chua, MBA, CFA

Vice-President, Central and Western Canada

Benjamin Chua manages the commercial mortgage and real estate development financing teams in Toronto and Vancouver, covering major markets in Ontario and west to British Columbia. Prior to joining Desjardins, Mr. Chua was a commercial and corporate banker with local financial institutions and foreign banks.

Mr. Chua is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and earned a Bachelor of Business (Honours) degree from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto.
