Tools and resources to help kids stay in school and succeed
The Desjardins Foundation supports many organizations that work to promote academic success. We also partner with organizations to develop tools to help parents and teachers.
Our youth need recognition and acknowledgement to stay motivated in school. It's up to us to support and encourage them.
Partner organizations and other resources
Promoting language development with the public libraries of Quebec
We're helping the Association des bibliothèques publiques du Québec to introduce its Biblio-Jeux program in libraries across the province. The program was developed by speech language therapists who use family games to develop the oral and written language skills of children from 6 months to 12 years of age. Qualified library staff can help families with the games.

Jeunes musiciens du monde
We help the organization systemize its musical and social pedagogical approach, allowing thousands of children and teens in high-risk environments to have fun learning music to help them develop their full potential.

Lire et faire lire
The Foundation supports Lire et faire lire, an organization that promotes the joy of reading and a love of books among children ages 4 to 8, while building connections between generations. The Desjardins Foundation's contribution allows the organization to increase the reach of its program and directly help more children in daycare centres and schools across Ontario and Quebec.
Institut Pacifique
Social relations are important for young people, allowing them to develop throughout their lives. That's why we're helping the Institut Pacifique to revamp and roll out their Vers le pacifique program. The program offers workshops in daycares and elementary schools to teach young people important interpersonal skills such as managing their emotions, resolving conflicts and peer mediation. The Institut Pacifique also offers free tools for families.

Encourage the entrepreneurial spirit in young people
We have helped Youth Fusion launch an entrepreneurship program at several rural, urban and aboriginal schools. Tailored to K-12 students most at risk of dropping out of school, this program introduces them to the business world by having them create and experience the daily reality of an organization in a field they’re excited about–all within the school context. Throughout the school year, they develop skills such as collaboration, problem solving and organization, alongside other disciplines including languages, math, technology and finance.
Articles, downloadable resources, videos and videoconferences are available, as well as an online forum and phone service to speak directly with experts.
Educational research
We support the production and distribution of The Facts on Education newsletters, which popularize educational research to make it accessible to parents and teachers.
