Desjardins and its business partners unite to support youth
Technology consulting and digital solutions firm Larsen & Toubro Infotech Canada (LTI), in support of the Desjardins Foundation, will be providing generous support to two lucky students who had applied for scholarships on the Desjardins scholarship platform last March.
"LTI is proud to once again support the Desjardins Foundation on its quest to promote education and contribute to young people’s academic success. Supporting our young overachievers in reaching new heights is key to our identity at LTI. Our involvement in the community defines our values and the values of our key partner, Desjardins group. We will continue to work together to support our future leaders reach their full potential," Omar Nabil, Vice-President of Sales and Business Development, Larsen & Toubro Infotech Canada.
Camille Papillon-Hogue and Samuel Laperrière, who are pursuing, respectively, a bachelor's in electrical, electronics and communications engineering, and a bachelor's in computer engineering and construction, were thrilled to hear the good news.
"I feel extremely privileged to receive this scholarship. It's a real honour to be chosen out of all the candidates. My current plans are to invest in high-quality office supplies as well as home sports equipment. This support will also really help with rent and food," Camille Papillon-Hogue, student at the École Polytechnique de Montréal.
"I'm honoured to have been selected for this scholarship. It will lend a helping hand as I complete my bachelor's degree. I'll be looking at all my options, but I may use some of the funds for my final bachelor's project on swarm robotics and
to help pay for physical prototypes,"
Samuel Laperrière, student at the Université de Sherbrooke.
