The Desjardins Foundation awards 46 scholarships during the CFER Olympiads
Academic success has many faces, and every young person has their own definition of success depending on their dreams, abilities and situation. That's why the Desjardins Foundation is so proud to support the CFER Network, an association of 23 schools with work-study programs that help young people who have fallen behind and are at risk of dropping out.
At the end of the school year, the CFER Olympiads showcase students' progress by allowing the 23 schools to face off in a friendly and exciting competition where everyone can shine.
This year, during the closing gala dinner on May 31, 2023, the Desjardins Foundation awarded a total of 46 scholarships to students selected by their centre for their hard work and perseverance. Not only do the scholarships provide financial assistance, they're also a source of pride for students who have often struggled against negative labels.
With their innovative educational approach, these unique schools help each student to become more autonomous, develop their skills and have a positive impact on the community. By recognizing their efforts and abilities, we help them believe in themselves and find their place, with benefits for the whole community!
