Renewed support for Fondation Jeunes en Tête
Renewed support for Fondation Jeunes en Tête
Good mental health is key for the academic perseverance of our kids—it affects all areas of their lives. In recent years, we've seen a clear increase in the number of young people experiencing psychological distress; more than half of teenagers are having symptoms of anxiety. That’s why Desjardins Foundation is proud to not only renew, but also increase our support for Fondation Jeunes en Tête - External link., helping kids aged 11 to 18 avoid psychological distress.
This new 3-year agreement will help Fondation Jeunes en Tête reach even more kids through their free workshops in high schools across the province. Last year, the organization's professionals worked in 154 schools from all regions of Quebec. In these workshops, professionals demystify mental health issues, break down taboos, and give tens of thousands of students real tools to take care of themselves and their peers.
In addition to these workshops, Desjardins Foundation's support will allow Fondation Jeunes en Tête to continue developing and adapting their online toolkits for teens - External link., families - External link., and schools - External link.. These toolkits are free, accessible to everyone and an invaluable resource for both avoiding issues and knowing how to intervene in cases of distress.
By making these valuable tools available to all kids in Quebec, we're working together to take care of their mental health and give them the tools to succeed in school and life.
