On September 6, the Literacy Foundation and the Desjardins Foundation awarded “I Don't Give Up, I'm a Winner” scholarships to 7 people who successfully completed an adult literacy or basic training program.
Illiteracy is a real issue in Quebec, with a variety of reasons for low literacy rates among certain individuals. Those who want to improve their reading skills must overcome a series of obstacles. Learn about their inspiring stories.
Nancy Lee, manager of Desjardins Foundation, is proud to recognize the hard work of the scholarship recipients. “These individuals are truly inspiring and brave—and they don't give up. We're committed to recognizing their efforts. Awarding these scholarships is our way of showing that we believe in them and want them to keep going.”
