Canada Post labour dispute FAQ
Have questions about how the Canada Post labour dispute affects Desjardins? Find answers in our FAQ.
General information
Just like many other businesses, we’re also feeling the impact of the labour dispute at Canada Post. We’re doing everything we can to lessen this impact and we’re working hard to get documents and cards out as quickly as possible. We’re sending thousands of cards out every day using private courier services.
Several measures have also been taken to guide you and give you access to your documents.
What you can do to reduce impacts
You can use the secure document sharing feature to send and receive important documents. For more information, see our Sharing confidential documents securely page.
All of the obligations in your contracts—including your financial obligations—are still in effect. You must comply with them despite the postal service disruption, so it’s important that you make your payments on time.
If you haven’t already done so, sign up for our mobile and online services so you can view your statements and documents on Desjardins secure sites, like AccèsD or the Desjardins Insurance sites.

Information for cardholders
Your credit, debit and prepaid cards are valid until the last day of the expiry month. For example, if you have a card that expires in June, you can keep using it until June 30, 2025. Credit and debit cards expiring in June and July have already been sent out to cardholders. If your card is damaged or doesn’t work, you can continue to use contactless payment on your mobile device and shop online.
Credit card account statements will be mailed once the labour dispute ends. Some delays can be expected.
To view your credit card statement and balance, log in to AccèsD or call the number on the back of your credit card. Throughout the labour dispute, your statement will be available on AccèsD even if you haven’t signed up for online statements.
If you have a business credit card, your credit card statement will be available on AccèsD Affaires, even if you haven’t signed up for online statements. You’ll receive your paper statements at the end of the Canada Post labour dispute.
If you’re signed up for online statements and you want to view your everyday account statement, log in to AccèsD. Otherwise you can go to a caisse or branch. You can also view your last 60 transactions at any Desjardins ATM.
