You’re about to open an everyday account from within Canada. If you’re abroad, you need to fill in the application to open an account from outside Canada.

To continue, you must reside in Quebec or Ontario and be opening the account for yourself.

Once you open your account, you can access our legal assistance service for 2 years. The duration of the free monthly Unlimited plan depends on certain conditions.

Youth offer

You’re eligible for this offer for as long as you meet 1 of these requirements:

• You’re between 18 and 24
• You’re between 25 and 30 and you’re a full-time student at a recognized university, college or vocational school in Canada

Offer for newcomers

You’re eligible for this offer for 2 years if you’re 25 and over and you’re a permanent resident or a temporary resident with a work permit valid for more than 8 months, AND:

• You’ve lived in Canada for 3 years or less
• You’re not a Desjardins member or have been a member for less than 1 year
